The Black Knight - p. 35

Hey now! Here's the page, unscathed by weather and despite my hands cut to ribbons by my cat.

Next page has dynamic panels! With slants! Egads!

**EDIT: Added the berry stains to Evan's glove. Thank you to whoever pointed it out - I really appreciate it!!!!! But why did you delete your comment... 8A8 how can I thank you by name?? Continuity is really important to me and really I was just so ...out of it when I finished this page I was excited to get it up. D: Thank you whoever you are!!! It's not rude to point it out!!! D:

  3. I just started reading this today and all I can say is AAAAAH EVERYTHING IS SO ADORABLE!
The art and the story and even the little things you say at the bottom of each page. :D Every page makes me grin from ear to ear.

Hope your hands have not been too ribbonized! Take care!
(Oh. It looks like I had more in me to say than that capslocked exclamation of my love for this thing.)

I am taking care of my hands (they still hurt!) It's funny you never realize how much hands hurt til you really hurt them!

  4. This page is full of things I'm afraid of. Cat attacks and horse attacks.

    Scariest page.

  6. I would like to say that I think you've done a great job on the depth and perspective on this page. The first panel is amazing, really well done. The detail you've gone into, even by making the horse in the foreground slightly fuzzy (although that could just be my glasses) is just blowing me away!
Add to that Evan's cry coming up out of the woods through all the panels, it makes this entire page feel 3D. I think this is my now favourite page! <3

    1. *said in a really small voice* Also, before you submit this page to print, you will need to put berry juice onto Evan's gloves. (sorry to nitpick)

    2. Thank you so much! It is really one of the rare times when what I want to do actually happens. Sometimes my skills just aren't good enough - you know? :) But thank you!! I'm always trying to tell the story the best I can!

    1. Thank you so much JT and for commenting! I am actually trying to draw simpler... I think it suits the atmosphere I am trying to create better but that really... uh... intense? part of me that feels there is detail by god cram it in keeps trying to make me add more and more... It's a struggle...

I do have a deviantart account but... All there are is a bunch of announcements for new pages there. :T When I do do something extra it will end up on the CheckMate tumblr linked on the front page. But if you have to have the deviantart it's pirate-trish.deviantart.com

  11. I present to you, the mighty prince Evan. Terrified of horses, yet not his own assassin. I love this comic and I sincerely hope it continues forever.
